During a trip to Scotland, I noticed that you could buy products printed with robins, such as mugs,
T-shirts and postcards, in practically every third shop. Why?
The robin is so deeply rooted in local culture and mythology that it is the unofficial national bird of Great Britain.
But the bird also attracts attention in this country. For example, hardly any other songbird lets you get so close to it.
The original illustration on which the print is based was created by hand in graphite / watercolor.
