Crusaders are said to have brought seeds to Italy in the 16th century, which they received from monks
received on the island of Cyprus. As 'Cavolfiore', translated 'Karfiol', cauliflower has been around for centuries
a favorite vegetable of the Italians before it came to Germany. Slowly, through tireless breeding,
the green 'cabbage flower' became brilliant white.
